Relive Last Year’s Event & Become a Sponsor for 2025

Movies on the Island – A Community Favorite Returns

The Douglas County Drug Prevention Coalition proudly hosted Movies on the Island, three memorable nights of family-friendly films at Barkers Island Festival Park. Framed by beautiful bay views, families came together under the stars with blankets, chairs, and plenty of smiles to enjoy a fun, safe, and welcoming summer tradition. Held at dusk on the first three Saturdays in August 2025, the event brought together families, community partners, and generous local sponsors to create an experience filled with connection, laughter, and community pride — and we’re excited to build on that momentum for an even bigger and brighter event next year.
